As an out-of-towner I have only stopped in for manis/pedis, but love watching all the locals stop in for their haircuts and colors.
The gals here are all so friendly and helpful, and you really get the sense that they care about their customers. They know everyone by name, and are constantly stopping by each others chairs to say hello and catch up with whomever is there.

Went to MJ’s to treat my very pregnant friend to a pedicure and I asked about massages. Turns out the masseuse specializes in prenatal massages! So not only did my friend get a massage, I did too. It was the best massage her and I have ever gotten. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
